- And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
- When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me.

When your judgments come upon the earth,
the people of the world learn righteousness. - But he knows the way that I take;

My feet have closely followed his steps;
I have kept to his way without turning aside. - But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
- Remember your Creator
in the days of your youth,
before the days of trouble come
and the years approach when you will say,
“I find no pleasure in them”. - But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
- A thousand years in your sight
are like a day that has just gone by,
or like a watch in the night. - You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
- But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
- Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”

- Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.
“On the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty, “they will be my treasured possession.
