- Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise.

when I sing praises to you;
my soul also, which you have rescued. - When Jesus had received the wine, he said, “It is finished.” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
- When you realize your guilt in any of these, you shall confess the sin that you have committed.
- I will praise you with an upright heart,
when I learn your righteous ordinances. - When you make a vow to God, do not delay fulfilling it; for he has no pleasure in fools. Fulfill what you vow.

- But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
- For you need endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.
- But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your alms may be done in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
- But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
- When they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God with boldness.
- When they bring you to trial and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say; but say whatever is given you at that time, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
- Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, “You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased.”
- When words are many, transgression is not lacking,
but the prudent are restrained in speech. - But when they saw him walking on the sea, they thought it was a ghost and cried out; for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid.”
- When one will not listen to the law,
even one's prayers are an abomination.
