- Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise.
- When I am afraid,
I put my trust in you. - Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you, revile you, and defame you on account of the Son of Man.
- When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart.
- When pride comes, then comes disgrace;
but wisdom is with the humble. - My soul thirsts for God,
for the living God.
When shall I come and behold
the face of God? - When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you. - When I thought, “My foot is slipping,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. - O Lord, you have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from far away. - And when he comes, he will prove the world wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment.
- Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power to do it. - Train children in the right way,
and when old, they will not stray. - When the cares of my heart are many,
your consolations cheer my soul. - When I fed them, they were satisfied;
they were satisfied, and their heart was proud;
therefore they forgot me. - When Jesus had received the wine, he said, “It is finished.” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
- My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praises to you;
my soul also, which you have rescued. - Even fools who keep silent are considered wise;
when they close their lips, they are deemed intelligent. - When you realize your guilt in any of these, you shall confess the sin that you have committed.
- When you make a vow to God, do not delay fulfilling it; for he has no pleasure in fools. Fulfill what you vow.
- I will praise you with an upright heart,
when I learn your righteous ordinances. - But when he heard this, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.”
- Blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.
- How very good and pleasant it is
when kindred live together in unity! - When Jesus heard this, he replied, “Do not fear. Only believe, and she will be saved.”
- And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he is revealed we may have confidence and not be put to shame before him at his coming.
Our steps are made firm by the Lord,
when he delights in our way.The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our ancestors; may he not leave us or abandon us. Jesus said to him, “If you are able!—All things can be done for the one who believes.”Next verse!With image
