- These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. And you shall repeat them diligently to your sons and speak of them when you sit in your house, when you walk on the road, when you lie down, and when you get up.
- When I am afraid,
I will put my trust in You. - Blessed are you when the people hate you, and when they exclude you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man.
- And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
- When pride comes, then comes dishonor;
But with the humble there is wisdom. - Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise;
When he closes his lips, he is considered prudent. - My soul thirsts for God, for the living God;
When shall I come and appear before God? - Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I get up;
You understand my thought from far away. - When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you. - And He, when He comes, will convict the world regarding sin, and righteousness, and judgment.
- Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in your power to do it. - When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away
Through my groaning all day long. - Train up a child in the way he should go,
Even when he grows older he will not abandon it. - When my anxious thoughts multiply within me,
Your comfort delights my soul. - My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to You;
And my soul, which You have redeemed. - Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.
- So it shall be when he becomes guilty of one of these things, that he shall confess that in which he has sinned.
- When you make a vow to God, do not be late in paying it; for He takes no delight in fools. Pay what you vow!
- When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying.
- I will give thanks to You with uprightness of heart,
When I learn Your righteous judgments. - But when Jesus heard this, He said, “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick.”
- Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.
- Now, little children, remain in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not draw back from Him in shame at His coming.
- For a thousand years in Your sight
Are like yesterday when it passes by,
Or like a watch in the night. - If I should say, “My foot has slipped,”
Your faithfulness, Lord, will support me.
