- And those who know your name put their trust in you,
for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. - Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,
but those who plan peace have joy. - Blessed be the Lord,
who daily bears us up;
God is our salvation. Selah - What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
- Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him;
fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way,
over the man who carries out evil devices! - But many who are first will be last, and the last first.
- Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
- “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
- It is well with the man who deals generously and lends;
who conducts his affairs with justice. - But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
- Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back.
- Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty,
and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city. - But when he heard it, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.”
- Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
- Blessed are those who mourn,
for they shall be comforted. - But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
- I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
- Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
- I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
- For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
- Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.
- And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
- But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
- Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life;
he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. - They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit.
