- Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.
- Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers,
and blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord. - The one whose walk is blameless,
who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from their heart;
whose tongue utters no slander,
who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others. - And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
- But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
- And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.
- Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.
- Better a patient person than a warrior,
one with self-control than one who takes a city. - Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.
- Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.
- Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” - On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.”
- The Lord will rescue his servants;
no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned. - Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.”
- God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
- But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.
- Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes. - How abundant are the good things
that you have stored up for those who fear you,
that you bestow in the sight of all,
on those who take refuge in you. - I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
- He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber. - I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
- For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
- For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
- Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
- Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
Great peace have those who love your law,
and nothing can make them stumble.And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.Next verse!With image
