- I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
- He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber. - All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.
- For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
- Who has done this and carried it through,
calling forth the generations from the beginning?
I, the Lord—with the first of them
and with the last—I am he. - Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
- He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”
- All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.
- Great peace have those who love your law,
and nothing can make them stumble. - No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
- “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”
- I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
- Who is wise? Let them realize these things.
Who is discerning? Let them understand.
The ways of the Lord are right;
the righteous walk in them,
but the rebellious stumble in them. - And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
- Who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
- The Lord will rescue his servants;
no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned. - Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. - For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
- Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.
- Every word of God is flawless;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. - Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
- But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
- And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
- You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
abounding in love to all who call to you. - The Lord detests lying lips,
but he delights in people who are trustworthy.
For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.Next verse!With image
