- There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?
- The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,

he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound. - The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth. - Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
- But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
- Gracious words are like a honeycomb,
sweetness to the soul and health to the body.
