| And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. | But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. |

| They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit. | How they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit. |
| Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? | Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels? |
| Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before! | What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before? |
| For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. | For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. |
