| You shall keep my Sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord. | Observe my Sabbaths and stand in awe before my sanctuary. I am the Lord. |
| I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world. | I have told you this so that in me you may be in peace. In the world you will endure suffering. But take courage! I have overcome the world. |
| But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him. | But as for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and therefore you do not need anyone to teach you. This same anointing teaches you everything and is true and not false, so abide in him just as he taught you. |
