| Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? | Jesus said to her, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed, you would see God’s glory?” |
| He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? | He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you and does miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith? |

| In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. | In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. |
| If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. | If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him and have seen him. |
| Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied. | May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you. |
| Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. | Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. |
| Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. | Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. |
| Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. | Therefore you are without excuse, O man, whoever you are who judge. For in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself. For you who judge practice the same things. |
| For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. | “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.” |
| Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. | Bless those who persecute you; bless, and don’t curse. |
| For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee. | For Yahweh your God will bless you, as he promised you. You will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow. You will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you. |
| For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. | For sin will not have dominion over you, for you are not under law, but under grace. |
| O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee. | My soul, you have said to Yahweh, “You are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing.” |
| And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. | Those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you. |
| Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. | Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. As I gave you the green herb, I have given everything to you. But flesh with its life, that is, its blood, you shall not eat. |
| These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. | These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. |
| Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. | Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, “If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” |
| And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. | You shall seek me and find me, when you search for me with all your heart. |
| And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine. | You shall be holy to me, for I, Yahweh, am holy, and have set you apart from the peoples, that you should be mine. |
| And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. | Yahweh himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged. |
| Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. | Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know. |
