Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Yourself'
- To the loyal, you show yourself to be loyal;
to the blameless, you show yourself to be blameless. - The second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
- For the entire Law can be summed up in a single commandment: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- Do not wear yourself out in the pursuit of wealth,
and cease even to think about it. - The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
- Make every effort to present yourself before God as one who is worthy of his approval, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, but who imparts the word of truth without any alteration.
- He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
- Therefore, you have no excuse, whoever you may be, when you pass judgment on others. For in judging others you condemn yourself, since you are doing the same things.
- Through the grace that God has bestowed upon me, I advise every one of you not to think of yourself too highly, but to regard yourself objectively, based on the measure of faith that God has granted.
- You shall not kill. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness. Honor your father and your mother. Love your neighbor as yourself.
- “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and every other commandment are all summed up in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- You shall not hate your brother in your heart, nor shall you rebuke your brother in any way, lest you bear sin because of him. You shall not seek vengeance nor bear a grudge against the children of your people. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.
- Love one another with genuine affection. Esteem others more highly than yourself.
- Take delight in the Lord,
and he will grant you what your heart desires. - Live in harmony with one another. Do not consider yourself to be better than others, but associate with the lowly, and never be conceited.
- And ‘to love him with all your heart, and with all your understanding, and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself,’ is worth more than any burnt offerings and sacrifices.
- Brethren, if anyone is detected committing a transgression, you who are spiritual must set him right in a spirit of gentleness. Meanwhile, you should take care so that you yourselves are not tempted.
- Do not pride yourself on your own wisdom;
fear the Lord and turn your back on evil.
This will provide healing for your flesh
and restore strength to your body. - You might say to yourself, “How can we know that the Lord did not speak the message?” If what the prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord is not true and it does not happen, then the message was not proclaimed by the Lord. The prophet has spoken presumptuously, you should not fear him.
- Rather, put on the Lord Jesus Christ and allow no opportunity for the flesh to gratify its sinful desires.
- Do not seek to adorn yourself externally—by the braiding of your hair and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothing. Rather, let your adornment be of your inner self, the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.
- Turn away from the mouth that deceives
and keep your distance from lips that mislead. - Then Peter asked, “Ananias, why has Satan so gained control of your heart that you lied to the Holy Spirit and retained part of the sale price of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not belong to you? And after it was sold, were not the proceeds yours? What caused you to contrive this scheme? You have lied not to men but to God.”
- Whoever gains wisdom loves his own soul;
one who cherishes understanding will prosper. - It is rash to pledge a sacred gift,
or to make a vow and then have second thoughts.
Wash yourselves and become clean;
remove your evil deeds
far from my sight.
Cease to do evil.Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. And thus we can have confidence in him
that if we ask anything
that is in accordance with his will,
he hears us.Next verse!With image
