- Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall.
- “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord. - But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
- Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
- Keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from telling lies. - I desire to do your will, my God;
your law is within my heart. - Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.
- Teach me your way, Lord,
that I may rely on your faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart,
that I may fear your name. - Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
- May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed. - Observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy, as the Lord your God has commanded you. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your ox, your donkey or any of your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns, so that your male and female servants may rest, as you do.
- From the Lord comes deliverance.
May your blessing be on your people. - Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
- Rend your heart
and not your garments.
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and abounding in love,
and he relents from sending calamity. - Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”
- Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
- My mouth is filled with your praise,
declaring your splendor all day long. - Let your eyes look straight ahead;
fix your gaze directly before you. - I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.
- As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts. - Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight. - Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord;
may your love and faithfulness always protect me. - My son, keep your father’s command
and do not forsake your mother’s teaching. - Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
- All your words are true;
all your righteous laws are eternal.
Honor the Lord with your wealth,
with the firstfruits of all your crops.John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.” The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
