- But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.
- So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.
- Don’t long for “the good old days.”
This is not wise. - Those who love your instructions have great peace
and do not stumble. - Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword.
- So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

- And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.

- Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.

- Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.
- You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.
- Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you. - The Lord will work out his plans for my life—

Don’t abandon me, for you made me. - Oh, the joys of those who do not
follow the advice of the wicked,
or stand around with sinners,
or join in with mockers. - When you pray, don’t babble on and on as the Gentiles do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again.
- As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. “Joseph, son of David,” the angel said, “do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit.”
- God’s will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin. Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor— not in lustful passion like the pagans who do not know God and his ways.
- So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.
