- But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.
- And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows.

- They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.”
- What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man.
- For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen.
- I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me.
He freed me from all my fears. - For,
There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. - He was despised and rejected—
a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief.
We turned our backs on him and looked the other way.
He was despised, and we did not care. - A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions.
The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences. - He sat down, called the twelve disciples over to him, and said, “Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.”
- For the Scriptures say,
“If you want to enjoy life
and see many happy days,
keep your tongue from speaking evil
and your lips from telling lies.
Turn away from evil and do good.
Search for peace, and work to maintain it.” - You are my rock and my fortress.
For the honor of your name, lead me out of this danger. - And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.
You can make many plans,
but the Lord’s purpose will prevail. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.Next verse!With image
