- If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?
- There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.
- For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
- Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him. - You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
- Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord.
Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. - Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.
- O Lord, I have come to you for protection;
don’t let me be disgraced.
Save me, for you do what is right. - But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.
- God is our refuge and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble. - Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.
- Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord,
for our hope is in you alone. - Create in me a clean heart, O God.
Renew a loyal spirit within me. - Keep me safe, O God,
for I have come to you for refuge. - Others were given in exchange for you.
I traded their lives for yours
because you are precious to me.
You are honored, and I love you. - Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.
- Believers who are poor have something to boast about, for God has honored them. And those who are rich should boast that God has humbled them. They will fade away like a little flower in the field.
- Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have.
- But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.
- In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.
- Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take. - Jesus was in the center of the procession, and the people all around him were shouting,
“Praise God for the Son of David!
Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!
Praise God in highest heaven!” - The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it. - Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.
- Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
