- Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.
- Let marriage be held in honor by all, and let the marriage bed be kept undefiled; for God will judge fornicators and adulterers.
- Come now, let us argue it out,
says the Lord:
though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be like snow;
though they are red like crimson,
they shall become like wool. - Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.
- This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it. - Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously;
let this be known in all the earth. - Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us.
- Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
- For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
- Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one may fall through such disobedience as theirs.
- Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable to you,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - But the one who did not know and did what deserved a beating will receive a light beating. From everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required; and from the one to whom much has been entrusted, even more will be demanded.
- So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.
- Keep straight the path of your feet,
and all your ways will be sure. - Repent and turn from all your transgressions; otherwise iniquity will be your ruin.
- On the last day of the festival, the great day, while Jesus was standing there, he cried out, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me.”
- You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.
- You must understand this, my beloved: let everyone be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger.
- Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
- Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.”
- He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
- But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”
- So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith.
- “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” For it is not those who commend themselves that are approved, but those whom the Lord commends.
- The precepts of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the Lord is clear,
enlightening the eyes.
