Chinese (traditional)- So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them. - Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness. - And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
- Our God is in heaven;
he does whatever pleases him. - When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.
- If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.
- Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.
- But I have been the Lord your God
ever since you came out of Egypt.
You shall acknowledge no God but me,
no Savior except me. - No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
- “Though the mountains be shaken
and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken
nor my covenant of peace be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you. - These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
- Surely God is my help;
the Lord is the one who sustains me. - Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him. - To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
- Truly my soul finds rest in God;
my salvation comes from him. - And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.
- Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God. - For you, God, tested us;
you refined us like silver. - Arise, Lord! Lift up your hand, O God.
Do not forget the helpless. - I desire to do your will, my God;
your law is within my heart. - God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble. - Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God. - There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his.
- May God bless us still,
so that all the ends of the earth will fear him. - Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”
You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water.If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
