Chinese (traditional)- My times are in your hands;
deliver me from the hands of my enemies,
from those who pursue me. - My son, do not forget my teaching,
but keep my commands in your heart,
for they will prolong your life many years
and bring you peace and prosperity. - Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name. - Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.”
- Listen, my son, accept what I say,
and the years of your life will be many. - I spread out my hands to you;
I thirst for you like a parched land. - Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
- You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water. - The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to tread on the heights. - I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope. - Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.” - I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing.” - My son, pay attention to what I say;
turn your ear to my words.
Do not let them out of your sight,
keep them within your heart. - Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
- I will sing to the Lord all my life;
I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. - In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly. - Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord;
Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive
to my cry for mercy. - When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
- As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts. - My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praise to you—
I whom you have delivered. - When anxiety was great within me,
your consolation brought me joy. - Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.
Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin. - As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God. - Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine.
- I am the Lord your God; follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Keep my Sabbaths holy, that they may be a sign between us. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.
Let my teaching fall like rain
and my words descend like dew,
like showers on new grass,
like abundant rain on tender plants.A fool spurns a parent’s discipline,
but whoever heeds correction shows prudence. You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water.Next verse!With image
