- Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword.
- And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
- In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe. - I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself.

Search for peace, and work to maintain it.” - Glory to God in highest heaven,
and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased. - Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding, or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God.
- In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.
- So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.
- Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.
- You will keep in perfect peace
all who trust in you,
all whose thoughts are fixed on you! - The Lord gives his people strength.
The Lord blesses them with peace. - How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of the messenger who brings good news,
the good news of peace and salvation,
the news that the God of Israel reigns! - Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.
- “Don’t you understand either?” he asked. “Can’t you see that the food you put into your body cannot defile you? Food doesn’t go into your heart, but only passes through the stomach and then goes into the sewer.” (By saying this, he declared that every kind of food is acceptable in God’s eyes.)
- Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.”
- The church then had peace throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria, and it became stronger as the believers lived in the fear of the Lord. And with the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, it also grew in numbers.
- Deceit fills hearts that are plotting evil;
joy fills hearts that are planning peace! - Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.
- Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.
- The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. May the grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
- Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.
- May the Lord bless you
and protect you.
May the Lord smile on you
and be gracious to you.
May the Lord show you his favor
and give you his peace.
