- For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
- There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
- Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him:
but the just shall live by his faith. - And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
- That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love.
- For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
- Can one go upon hot coals,
and his feet not be burned? - The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately wicked: who can know it?
I the Lord search the heart,
I try the reins,
even to give every man according to his ways,
and according to the fruit of his doings. - A fool uttereth all his mind:
but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards. - A man's heart deviseth his way:
but the Lord directeth his steps. - It is an honour for a man to cease from strife:
but every fool will be meddling. - If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
- For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
- And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
- For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous;
with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. - But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
- Before destruction the heart of man is haughty,

- It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy,
and after vows to make enquiry. - Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth:
therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty. - The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious;
but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself. - Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord,
that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
The ransom of a man's life are his riches:
but the poor heareth not rebuke. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord,
and whose hope the Lord is.
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters,
and that spreadeth out her roots by the river,
and shall not see when heat cometh,
but her leaf shall be green;
and shall not be careful in the year of drought,
neither shall cease from yielding fruit.Next verse!With image
