This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming, and now it is already in the world.
Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.Pay to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor.

What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul?

Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.If someone says, “I love God,” and yet he hates his brother or sister, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother and sister whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.
What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?For what does it benefit a person to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.
Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.For You bless the righteous person, Lord, You surround him with favor as with a shield.
But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.
Before a downfall the heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.Before destruction the heart of a person is haughty, But humility goes before honor.
Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.Greater love has no one than this, that a person will lay down his life for his friends.
For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written: “But the righteous one will live by faith.”
Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice.It goes well for a person who is gracious and lends; He will maintain his cause in judgment.
It is a trap to dedicate something rashly and only later to consider one’s vows.It is a trap for a person to say carelessly, “It is holy!” And after the vows to make inquiry.
Blessed is the one whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.Behold, happy is the person whom God disciplines, So do not reject the discipline of the Almighty.
