Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.For one will hardly die for a righteous man. Yet perhaps for a good person someone would even dare to die. But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.The liberal soul shall be made fat. He who waters shall be watered also himself.

All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”He said, “That which proceeds out of the man, that defiles the man. For from within, out of the hearts of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, sexual sins, murders, thefts, covetings, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile the man.”
Pride brings a person low, but the lowly in spirit gain honor.A man’s pride brings him low, but one of lowly spirit gains honor.
If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are.
God “will repay each person according to what they have done.”Who “will pay back to everyone according to their works.”
A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.
Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.Like a city that is broken down and without walls is a man whose spirit is without restraint.
How much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath day.
How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.
But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die.But if the wicked turns from all his sins that he has committed, and keeps all my statutes, and does that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live. He shall not die.
The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all.
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with me.
A person finds joy in giving an apt reply— and how good is a timely word!Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth. How good is a word at the right time!
A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret.One who brings gossip betrays a confidence, but one who is of a trustworthy spirit is one who keeps a secret.
Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding.Happy is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gets understanding.
There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.There is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.
“Are you so dull?” he asked. “Don’t you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them? For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.)He said to them, “Are you also without understanding? Don’t you perceive that whatever goes into the man from outside can’t defile him, because it doesn’t go into his heart, but into his stomach, then into the latrine, making all foods clean?”
A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart.Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but Yahweh weighs the hearts.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward person is decaying, yet our inward person is renewed day by day.
