- Honour the Lord with thy substance,
and with the firstfruits of all thine increase. - He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
- And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
- He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
- For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
- For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
- For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
- He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
- For whoso findeth me findeth life,
and shall obtain favour of the Lord. - By humility and the fear of the Lord

for out of it are the issues of life. - For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
- Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
- Death and life are in the power of the tongue:
and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
