- Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom:
and with all thy getting get understanding. - When pride cometh, then cometh shame:

and excellent in working. - But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter. - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
- Labour not to be rich:
cease from thine own wisdom. - Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple.
