- Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
- Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
- But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

- And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
- The ransom of a man's life are his riches:
but the poor heareth not rebuke. - But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.
- Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.
- Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:
fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way,
because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. - God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
- For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
- Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
- For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
- O come, let us worship and bow down:
let us kneel before the Lord our maker. - The wicked worketh a deceitful work:
but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. - Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
- And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
- A soft answer turneth away wrath:
but grievous words stir up anger. - Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
- The way of the Lord is strength to the upright:
but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. - This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts,
which is wonderful in counsel,
and excellent in working. - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
- He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
- For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
- Pleasant words are as an honeycomb,
sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. - The entrance of thy words giveth light;
it giveth understanding unto the simple. - For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.
- The tongue of the just is as choice silver:
the heart of the wicked is little worth. - Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not;
neither decline from the words of my mouth. - In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin:
but he that refraineth his lips is wise. - And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope.
- The words of a talebearer are as wounds,
and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly. - If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
- The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious;
but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself. - Turn you at my reproof:
behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you,
I will make known my words unto you. - For the word of the Lord is right;
and all his works are done in truth. - For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
- For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.
- Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
- Let the words of my mouth,
and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight,
