Chinese (traditional)But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.” Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me. And they stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on his head and put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” A rich man's wealth is his strong city,
and like a high wall in his imagination. For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!” For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. And said to them, “Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For he who is least among you all is the one who is great.” Riches do not profit in the day of wrath,
but righteousness delivers from death. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For the word of the Lord is upright,
and all his work is done in faithfulness. But, as it is written,
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the heart of man imagined,
what God has prepared for those who love him” Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. But many who are first will be last, and the last first. But he knows the way that I take;
when he has tried me, I shall come out as gold.
My foot has held fast to his steps;
I have kept his way and have not turned aside. O Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you; I will praise your name,
for you have done wonderful things,
plans formed of old, faithful and sure. But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect. Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation. Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord.
He is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remain green,
and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.Next verse!With image
