Chinese (traditional)This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. I cried to him with my mouth,
and high praise was on my tongue. But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account. Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved. As a father shows compassion to his children,
so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him. This also comes from the Lord of hosts;
he is wonderful in counsel
and excellent in wisdom. Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. On God rests my salvation and my glory;
my mighty rock, my refuge is God. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.
