Chinese (traditional)And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ. For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? This God—his way is perfect;
the word of the Lord proves true;
he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him. Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back. But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. For it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall confess to God.” Knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. Who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began. For I know that my Redeemer lives,
and at the last he will stand upon the earth. Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace. Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. By which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.Next verse!With image
