Chinese (traditional)O Lord, all my longing is known to you,
and my sighs are not hidden from you. The desires of the flesh result in death, but the desires of the Spirit result in life and peace. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified of them, for the Lord, your God, is going forth with you. He will never leave you or abandon you. Make your ways known to me, O Lord;
teach me your paths. We know that God makes all things work together for good for those who love him and who are called according to his purpose. Therefore, accept one another for the glory of God, just as Christ has accepted you. Like a city that has been breached and made defenseless
is the man devoid of self-control. If you confess with your lips, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Whoever does not love
does not know God,
because God is love. Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
but to your name give glory
because of your kindness and faithfulness. And every tongue should proclaim
to the glory of God the Father:
Jesus Christ is Lord. Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares about you. Diligent labor always yields profit,
but idle conversation only leads to poverty. In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God. The one who eats everything must not look contemptuously on the one who does not, and the one who abstains must not pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed both. Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stand in the way of sinners,
nor sit in the company of scoffers. Ah, Lord God, you made the heavens and the earth by your great power and your outstretched arm. Nothing is impossible for you. He then called the people and his disciples to him and said to them, “Anyone who wishes to follow me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.” Just as water reflects one’s face,
so does one human heart reflect another. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. Then he went on, “It is what comes out of a person that defiles. For from within, from the human heart, come evil thoughts, unchastity, theft, murder, adultery, avarice, malice, deceit, indecency, envy, slander, arrogance, and folly. All these evils come from within, and they defile a person.” Arise, O Lord! Lift up your hand, O God!
Do not forget the afflicted. Indeed, fornication and impurity of any kind, as well as greed, should not even be mentioned among you. Such talk is not fitting for saints. Make every possible effort to preserve the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. O Lord, at daybreak you hear my voice;
at daybreak I bring my petition before you
and await your reply. Beloved,
if our hearts do not condemn us,
we can approach God with confidence
and receive from him whatever we ask,
because we obey his commandments
and do whatever is pleasing to him. Bring the tithes in full into the treasury
so that there may be food in my house.
Put me thus to the test,
says the Lord of hosts,
and see if I will not open
the windows of heaven for you
and pour down blessings upon you
without measure. It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to place your trust in mortals. Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Brethren, if anyone is detected committing a transgression, you who are spiritual must set him right in a spirit of gentleness. Meanwhile, you should take care so that you yourselves are not tempted. Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil,
but those who counsel peace have joy. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace when we are in need of help.Next verse!With image
