Chinese (traditional)I will thank you, Lord, among all the people.
I will sing your praises among the nations. Do not nurse hatred in your heart for any of your relatives. Confront people directly so you will not be held guilty for their sin. Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against a fellow Israelite, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord. He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less. Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he kept giving the bread and fish to the disciples so they could distribute it to the people. They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftovers! You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing to you,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost. A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help.
He rescues them from all their troubles.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted;
he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love. Everyone enjoys a fitting reply;
it is wonderful to say the right thing at the right time! And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. Create in me a clean heart, O God.
Renew a loyal spirit within me. If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offense. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back. Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.” God’s way is perfect.
All the Lord’s promises prove true.
He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right,
speaking the truth from sincere hearts.
Those who refuse to gossip
or harm their neighbors
or speak evil of their friends. Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. For we live by believing and not by seeing. Good comes to those who lend money generously
and conduct their business fairly. So also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him. The human heart is the most deceitful of all things,
and desperately wicked.
Who really knows how bad it is?
But I, the Lord, search all hearts
and examine secret motives.
I give all people their due rewards,
according to what their actions deserve. Such people will not be overcome by evil.
Those who are righteous will be long remembered. Deceit fills hearts that are plotting evil;
joy fills hearts that are planning peace! Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.Next verse!With image
