Chinese (traditional)Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from him comes my salvation. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. Thus says the Lord of hosts, Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another, do not oppress the widow, the fatherless, the sojourner, or the poor, and let none of you devise evil against another in your heart. Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name;
make known his deeds among the peoples! For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity. And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures forever! You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him. No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens!
Let your glory be over all the earth! Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. In my distress I called upon the Lord;
to my God I cried for help.
From his temple he heard my voice,
and my cry to him reached his ears. Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. The Lord is good,
a stronghold in the day of trouble;
he knows those who take refuge in him. And those who know your name put their trust in you,
for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. Remember your mercy, O Lord, and your steadfast love,
for they have been from of old.
Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions;
according to your steadfast love remember me,
for the sake of your goodness, O Lord! And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.” The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,
but those who plan peace have joy. Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.Next verse!With image
