Chinese (traditional)Rejoicing in hope, enduring in troubles, continuing steadfastly in prayer. Unless Yahweh builds the house,
they who build it labor in vain.
Unless Yahweh watches over the city,
the watchman guards it in vain. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks. Open your mouth, judge righteously,
and serve justice to the poor and needy. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord. But when you do merciful deeds, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand does, so that your merciful deeds may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. Depart from evil, and do good.
Seek peace, and pursue it. To him who is ready to faint, kindness should be shown from his friend;
even to him who forsakes the fear of the Almighty. Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep. Great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised!
His greatness is unsearchable. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed,
because his mercies don’t fail.
They are new every morning.
Great is your faithfulness. Train up a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not depart from it. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom. Our help is in Yahweh’s name,
who made heaven and earth. That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Now I beg you, brothers, through the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment. Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down,
but a kind word makes it glad. Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength.
They will mount up with wings like eagles.
They will run, and not be weary.
They will walk, and not faint. Whom do I have in heaven?
There is no one on earth whom I desire besides you. But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you. Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness. Like a city that is broken down and without walls
is a man whose spirit is without restraint. Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth. Yahweh is with you while you are with him; and if you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will forsake you. God will bless us.
All the ends of the earth shall fear him. “Yet even now,” says Yahweh, “turn to me with all your heart,
and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.” Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out and will find pasture. This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.Next verse! With image
