Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. Because thy lovingkindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise thee.
Thus will I bless thee while I live:
I will lift up my hands in thy name. He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby. How much better is it to get wisdom than gold!
and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Judge not, that ye be not judged. In the multitude of my thoughts within me
thy comforts delight my soul. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another. The integrity of the upright shall guide them:
but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. Like as a father pitieth his children,
so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. He that walketh with wise men shall be wise:
but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. By humility and the fear of the Lord
are riches, and honour, and life. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. When I said, My foot slippeth;
thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost. To do justice and judgment
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us.
