Chinese (traditional)And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever. I hasten and do not delay
to keep your commandments. You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord. Let all that you do be done in love. Blessed is the one who finds wisdom,
and the one who gets understanding. Seek the Lord and his strength;
seek his presence continually! If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your steadfast love;
according to your abundant mercy
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin! In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise;
when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent. I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world. Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord! And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious. Every word of God proves true;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof,
the world and those who dwell therein. You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ. A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches,
and favor is better than silver or gold. But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. O God, you are my God;
earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land
where there is no water. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent. Then you will understand righteousness and justice
and equity, every good path. But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. As far as the east is from the west,
so far does he remove our transgressions from us.
