And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever. I made haste, and delayed not
to keep thy commandments. Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord. Let all your things be done with charity. Happy is the man that findeth wisdom,
and the man that getteth understanding. Seek the Lord and his strength,
seek his face continually. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. Have mercy upon me, O God,
according to thy lovingkindness:
according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me throughly from mine iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise:
and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous. Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord.
Praise ye the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. Every word of God is pure:
he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof;
the world, and they that dwell therein. Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches,
and loving favour rather than silver and gold. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. O God, thou art my God;
early will I seek thee:
my soul thirsteth for thee,
my flesh longeth for thee
in a dry and thirsty land,
where no water is. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment,
and equity; yea, every good path. But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us. O God, thou art my God;
early will I seek thee:
my soul thirsteth for thee,
my flesh longeth for thee
in a dry and thirsty land,
where no water is.Next verse!With image
