Chinese (traditional)For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. Wash and make yourselves clean.
Take your evil deeds out of my sight;
stop doing wrong. Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. My times are in your hands;
deliver me from the hands of my enemies,
from those who pursue me. Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. A gift opens the way
and ushers the giver into the presence of the great. For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have. But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand. God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Whoever would foster love covers over an offense,
but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends. Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” I can do all this through him who gives me strength. You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
abounding in love to all who call to you. Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. The Lord sends poverty and wealth;
he humbles and he exalts. He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” For we live by faith, not by sight. Blessed are all who fear the Lord,
who walk in obedience to him. You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the Lord, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by chasing after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. See, the enemy is puffed up;
his desires are not upright—
but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes. Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever! May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty—
he is the King of glory.
