Chinese (traditional)Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received a spirit of adoption. When we cry, “Abba! Father!” Keep your heart with all vigilance,
for from it flow the springs of life. The one who believes and is baptized will be saved; but the one who does not believe will be condemned. Therefore I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities for the sake of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am strong. Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff—
they comfort me. Do not be deceived:
“Bad company ruins good morals.” There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus. When words are many, transgression is not lacking,
but the prudent are restrained in speech. May the God of steadfastness and encouragement grant you to live in harmony with one another, in accordance with Christ Jesus. Blessed is anyone who endures temptation. Such a one has stood the test and will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. I establish my covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of a flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth. If you know me, you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him. You are altogether beautiful, my love;
there is no flaw in you. We know love by this, that he laid down his life for us—and we ought to lay down our lives for one another. I have no greater joy than this, to hear that my children are walking in the truth. But he was wounded for our transgressions,
crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the punishment that made us whole,
and by his bruises we are healed. Everyone who commits sin is guilty of lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. Thus you shall keep my commandments and observe them: I am the Lord. The unfolding of your words gives light;
it imparts understanding to the simple. Therefore rid yourselves of all sordidness and rank growth of wickedness, and welcome with meekness the implanted word that has the power to save your souls. Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus. I have swept away your transgressions like a cloud,
and your sins like mist;
return to me, for I have redeemed you. If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's. For I will be merciful toward their iniquities,
and I will remember their sins no more. The Lord will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time on and forevermore. Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow. Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers—none of these will inherit the kingdom of God.Next verse!With image
