Chinese (traditional)I do not set aside the grace of God, for if justification comes through the Law, then Christ died for nothing. When someone sins and does any of the things that the Lord has forbidden, even if he does not realize he did it, he has still committed an offense and must bear his guilt. Come now and let us discuss this,
says the Lord.
Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be like snow.
Though they are as red as crimson,
they shall become as white as wool. No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a pot or places it under a bed. Rather he places it on a lampstand so that those who enter may see the light. Remember this: if you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly, and if you sow generously, you will reap generously as well. I have chosen the way of faithfulness;
I have set your judgments before me. And now it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. The life I live now in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself up for me. So then, faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ. Whoever heeds admonition is on the path to life,
but anyone who rejects correction goes astray. For it is by grace that you have been saved through faith. This has not come from you but from the gift of God. It does not come from works, so that no one can boast. Now let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Be careful in your judgments, for the Lord, our God, will not tolerate the perversion of justice, or partiality, or the taking of bribes. It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to place your trust in mortals. But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far off have been brought near through the blood of Christ. Jesus looked at them and said, “For men this is impossible, but for God all things are possible.” As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts above your thoughts. Love cannot result in any harm to the neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfillment of the Law. Exalted at God’s right hand, he received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. The misfortunes of the righteous man are many,
but the Lord delivers him, from all of them. For it has been granted you not only to believe in Christ but also to suffer for him. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. Arise and shine forth, for your light has come
and the glory of the Lord has dawned upon you. Who then can separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or the sword? I am the vine,
you are the branches.
Whoever abides in me, and I in him,
will bear much fruit.
Apart from me you can do nothing. Put your trust in the Lord and do good,
that you may dwell in the land and be secure. Rather, put on the Lord Jesus Christ and allow no opportunity for the flesh to gratify its sinful desires. The Lord commanded us to observe all of these statutes and to fear the Lord, our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, even as we are today. A fool gives free rein to his anger,
but a wise man bides his time and calms it. The Lord will become king over the whole earth. When that day comes, he will be the only Lord, and his name will be the only name. Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you that if you have faith you will see the glory of God?” He did not spare his own Son but gave him up for all of us. How then can he fail also to give us everything else along with him?
