Chinese (traditional)Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. To do righteousness and justice
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” Your testimonies are my heritage forever,
for they are the joy of my heart. If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us. Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
but the Lord weighs the heart. Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father. And behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” Behold, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment. Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity
and passing over transgression
for the remnant of his inheritance?
He does not retain his anger forever,
because he delights in steadfast love. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. In my distress I called upon the Lord;
to my God I cried for help.
From his temple he heard my voice,
and my cry to him reached his ears. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers. The hope of the righteous brings joy,
but the expectation of the wicked will perish. Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen. And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. I stretch out my hands to you;
my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder! For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. The fear of man lays a snare,
but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe. And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” As a father shows compassion to his children,
so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him. Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal. He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one.Next verse!With image
