Righteousness (3/5)

  • For the Lord is our judge,
    the Lord is our lawgiver,
    the Lord is our king;
    he will save us.
  • There is a way which seemeth right unto a man,
    but the end thereof are the ways of death.
  • I will greatly rejoice in the Lord,
    my soul shall be joyful in my God;
    for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation,
    he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness,
    as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments,
    and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
  • The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable:
    but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.
  • In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust;
    let me never be ashamed:
    deliver me in thy righteousness.
  • Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
  • But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
  • All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
  • Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
  • Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
  • The Lord is righteous in all his ways,
    and holy in all his works.
  • Envy thou not the oppressor,
    and choose none of his ways.
    For the froward is abomination to the Lord:
    but his secret is with the righteous.
  • And therefore will the Lord wait,
    that he may be gracious unto you,
    and therefore will he be exalted,
    that he may have mercy upon you:
    for the Lord is a God of judgment:
    blessed are all they that wait for him.
  • Blessings are upon the head of the just:
    but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
  • Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
  • For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
  • Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Good and upright is the Lord:
    therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
    The meek will he guide in judgment:
    and the meek will he teach his way.
  • Blessed are the undefiled in the way,
    who walk in the law of the Lord.
  • He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous:
    he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
  • Hear my prayer, O Lord,
    give ear to my supplications:
    in thy faithfulness answer me,
    and in thy righteousness.
  • Defend the poor and fatherless:
    do justice to the afflicted and needy.
  • Train up a child in the way he should go:
    and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
  • But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
  • But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.Next verse!With image
