- No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper;
and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. - Many are the afflictions of the righteous:
but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. - Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
- Open thy mouth, judge righteously,
and plead the cause of the poor and needy. - Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
- Cast thy burden upon the Lord,
and he shall sustain thee:
he shall never suffer
the righteous to be moved. - But let judgment run down as waters,
and righteousness as a mighty stream. - Learn to do well; seek judgment,
relieve the oppressed,
judge the fatherless,
plead for the widow. - For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
- Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment,
and equity; yea, every good path. - Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
- Search me, O God, and know my heart:
try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. - Righteousness exalteth a nation:
but sin is a reproach to any people. - Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. - He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good;
and what doth the Lord require of thee,
but to do justly, and to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with thy God? - For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
- For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
- Better is a little with righteousness
than great revenues without right. - Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
- Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
- But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference.
- An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour:
but through knowledge shall the just be delivered. - There is a way which seemeth right unto a man,
but the end thereof are the ways of death. - A little that a righteous man hath
is better than the riches of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken:
but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. - He loveth righteousness and judgment:
the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
For the Lord is our judge,
the Lord is our lawgiver,
the Lord is our king;
he will save us.Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Thou art my hiding place;
thou shalt preserve me from trouble;
thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.Next verse!With image
