Evangelism (2/2)

  • For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
  • But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own people, in order that you may proclaim the mighty acts of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
  • Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”
  • And every day in the temple and at home they did not cease to teach and proclaim Jesus as the Messiah.
  • For we are God's servants, working together; you are God's field, God's building.
  • And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fish for people.”
  • Then Peter began to speak to them: “I truly understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.”
  • Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I; send me!”
  • To this day I have had help from God, and so I stand here, testifying to both small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would take place: that the Messiah must suffer, and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles.
  • I did not shrink from doing anything helpful, proclaiming the message to you and teaching you publicly and from house to house.
  • Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you will abide in the Son and in the Father.
  • Without any doubt, the mystery of our religion is great:
    He was revealed in flesh,
    vindicated in spirit,
    seen by angels,
    proclaimed among Gentiles,
    believed in throughout the world,
    taken up in glory.
  • All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.
