Chinese (traditional)- Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord;
Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive
to my cry for mercy. - You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper,
but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy. - May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
- What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
- Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
- For I will forgive their wickedness
and will remember their sins no more. - What is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them? - I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!
- But in your great mercy you did not put an end to them or abandon them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.
- For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.
- For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him.
- The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
- You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
- ‘Return, faithless Israel,’ declares the Lord,
‘I will frown on you no longer,
for I am faithful,’ declares the Lord,
‘I will not be angry forever.’ - Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”
- Rend your heart
and not your garments.
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and abounding in love,
and he relents from sending calamity. - Let the wicked forsake their ways
and the unrighteous their thoughts.
Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them,
and to our God, for he will freely pardon. - Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.
- But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
