for you have accomplished wonderful things,
formulated in ages past, faithful and sure. - For I, the Lord, am your God
and I grasp your right hand.
It is I who say to you,
Do not fear; I will help you. - He gives strength to the weary
and new vigor to those who are powerless. - Can a woman forget the infant at her breast;
or feel no compassion for the child of her womb?
Even should she forget,
I will never forget you.
Behold, I have inscribed your name
on the palms of my hands;
your walls are continually before my eyes. - Arise and shine forth, for your light has come
and the glory of the Lord has dawned upon you. - Because in my eyes you are precious,
because you are honored and I love you,
I will give people in exchange for you
and nations in return for your life. - But he was pierced for our offenses
and crushed for our iniquity;
the punishment that made us whole fell upon him,
and by his bruises we have been healed.
