I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. - When you go through deep waters,
I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up;
the flames will not consume you. - O Lord, I will honor and praise your name,
for you are my God.
You do such wonderful things!
You planned them long ago,
and now you have accomplished them. - For I hold you by your right hand—
I, the Lord your God.
And I say to you,
‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.’ - He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless. - Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child?
Can she feel no love for the child she has borne?
But even if that were possible,
I would not forget you!
See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands.
Always in my mind is a picture of Jerusalem’s walls in ruins. - Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see.
For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you. - Others were given in exchange for you.
I traded their lives for yours
because you are precious to me.
You are honored, and I love you. - The grass withers and the flowers fade,
but the word of our God stands forever.
