and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you. - O Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you; I will praise your name,
for you have done wonderful things,
plans formed of old, faithful and sure. - For I, the Lord your God,
hold your right hand;
it is I who say to you, “Fear not,
I am the one who helps you.” - He gives power to the faint,
and to him who has no might he increases strength. - Can a woman forget her nursing child,
that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb?
Even these may forget,
yet I will not forget you.
Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are continually before me. - Because you are precious in my eyes,
and honored, and I love you,
I give men in return for you,
peoples in exchange for your life. - Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. - The grass withers, the flower fades,
but the word of our God will stand forever.
