- For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God.
- And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers.

- Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.

and do not stumble. - Remember, you must not make any idols of silver or gold to rival me.

but babbling fools fall flat on their faces. - Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us.
- I have rejoiced in your laws
as much as in riches. - But we have sinned and done wrong. We have rebelled against you and scorned your commands and regulations.
- When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.
- Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law.
- But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.
- Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is made right in God’s sight—something the law of Moses could never do.
- God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor?
- I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ.
- You must diligently obey the commands of the Lord your God—all the laws and decrees he has given you.
- That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty.
