- Yet for us there is only one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him.

The world, and those who live in it. - So you are to be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy; and I have singled you out from the peoples to be Mine.
- The Lord redeems the souls of His servants,
And none of those who take refuge in Him will suffer for their guilt. - The conclusion, when everything has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person.
- All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being.
- As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to keep many people alive.
- Teach me Your way, Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name. - But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better; yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sakes.
- Blessed are those whose way is blameless,
Who walk in the Law of the Lord. - In the exercise of His will He gave us birth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures.
- For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, this is the one who will save it.
- Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let’s rid ourselves of every obstacle and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the race that is set before us.
- For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that those who live would no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose on their behalf.
- For His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
- For we have become partakers of Christ if we keep the beginning of our commitment firm until the end.
- Go then, eat your bread in happiness, and drink your wine with a cheerful heart; for God has already approved your works.
- Behold, as for the impudent one,
His soul is not right within him;
But the righteous one will live by his faith. - The one who overcomes will be clothed the same way, in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
