- Whoever possesses the Son
possesses life;
whoever does not possess the Son of God
does not possess life. - Although we are human beings, we do not engage in battle according to human standards.
- All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in uprightness, so that the man of God may be proficient and equipped for good work of every kind.
- I reprove and discipline all those whom I love. Therefore, be sincere in your desire to repent.
- Jesus addressed them once again, saying,

The one who follows me
will never walk in darkness.
Rather, he will have the light of life.” - For thus says the One who is high and exalted,
who lives eternally
and whose name is holy:
I dwell in a high and holy place
but I am with the contrite and the humble,
to revive the spirit of the humble
and to revive the heart of the contrite. - For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel:
If you seek me, you will survive. - The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it,
the world and all who live in it. - You shall be holy, for I, the Lord, am holy. I have chosen you from among all people that you shall be mine.
- The Lord redeems the lives of those who serve him;
no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him. - This is the end of my teaching.
All has been heard.
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for that is the responsibility of everyone. - You intended to do evil to me, but God decided to make it serve a good, to fulfill that which today has come true: to keep alive a numerous people.
- Through him all things came into existence,
and without him there was nothing.
That which came to be. - Teach me your ways, O Lord,
so that I may walk in your truth;
let me worship your name
with an undivided heart. - I am pulled in opposite directions. My desire is to depart and to be with Christ, for that is far better, but, it is a more urgent need for you that I remain in the body.
- Blessed are those whose way is blameless,
who walk in accord with the law of the Lord. - By his own choice he gave us birth through the way of truth so that we may be a kind of firstfruits of all his creation.
- For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.
- For the love of Christ urges us forward, once we conclude that one has died for all, and therefore all have died. And he died for all, so that those who live might no longer live for themselves, but for him who for their sakes died and was raised to life.
- His divine power has bestowed on us everything that is necessary for life and for devotion through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue.
- Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that weighs us down and the sins that so easily distract us and with perseverance run the race that lies ahead of us.
- For we will become partners with Christ only if we maintain firmly until the end the confidence we originally had.
- Go forth, then. Eat your bread with joy and drink your wine with a cheerful heart, for God long ago approved what you do.
- The proud man’s heart is not upright,
but the righteous man will live
because of his faith. - Produce good fruit as proof of your repentance.
