Chinese (traditional)- If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
- Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
- I will never forget your precepts,
for by them you have preserved my life. - He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”
- For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.
- You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand. - The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
- The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
- If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
- If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.
- There is a way that appears to be right,
but in the end it leads to death. - So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
- It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
- Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out. - In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
- Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
- Remember your Creator
in the days of your youth,
before the days of trouble come
and the years approach when you will say,
“I find no pleasure in them”. - What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
- ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
- I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.
- Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.
- And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
- Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.
- Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
- Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.
Listen, my son, accept what I say,
and the years of your life will be many.Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.
